Monster Dash Review
Monster Dash is a iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad action game that takes you down a fast paced path, it can lead you to falling to your death or blasting your way to victory. Monster dash is the newest iPhone app from Halfbrick, and will become a new classic for sure. It is very easy to pick up and play, good graphics and a really smooth running app for this type of action game. In Monster Dash you play a lone wolf hero named Barry Steakfries, his mission is to kill and destroy all demons, mummies, vampires and any other evil that gets in his way.
- Game-Play and Game Controls is simple and challenging, which enhances your determination when playing. The easy part about this game is that you do not have to walk to advance, rather you automatically run and jump over obstacles as the pace becomes faster. For now there are three different zones you enter after completing a certain required distance. I would really like to see in the updates new area's your character travels to. You have two buttons to use, jump and fire, when the target area is pressure sensitive so press a little harder than usual and you will jump higher, and when barely taped you will jump only a small distance.
- Monster Dash has Good Graphics and the game runs real smooth. For each zone that you are in you have a cool background for the scenery that is in the resolution to please the eyes. Your character, the monsters, and the buildings have a classic feel of playing on a GameBoy or a Super Nintendo, so with this style of graphics the game almost has any lag at all. The backround music and sound effects is fitted entertaining.
Monster Dash is a great buy compared to Canabalt which is still 2.99. Monster Dash has only shut down on me once, and it met my expectations to the fullest. So if you would like to waste and have fun doing it killing monsters Monster Dash is the game for you. Monster Dash gets a 4 out of 5!
