Puzzle Agent App Review

Puzzle agent is a mystery/puzzle solving game that stars an FBI agent out to solve any puzzle thrown out at him with an odd personality to go with it. This odd character of a detective works for the FBI’s puzzle department he is sent out on a mission to uncover the mysteries of the Eraser Factory in a town in the middle of nowhere.

 

Pros and Cons

• Finding clues, paying attention, and talking to everyone is a crucial part of your investigations. Graphics are not the greatest in gameplay, I noticed when your character interacts with a person or the environment some objects or people will appear fuzzy or blurred. However the things that do not blur up are good quality for the goal of the look and feel of the game. Patience is required for you iPod touch and iPhone users. Loading time for the in game play is not the best and target areas are a problem. Instead of being able to breeze through buildings I had to wait for a couple of seconds or more at times. Target areas I believe need to be redone for the iPod touch and iPhone, simply selecting gum in the game requires me to tap more than I should have to.

• Comedy, the good story line and difficult puzzles kept me occupied and entertained throughout the game. Hints really help you through the puzzles because everything is not as it seems. The type of puzzles you will be working with are riddles, brainteasers, logic and more for you to discover. If you like newspaper comics or shorts you will like this app as well because of the basic character drawings and use of the bubble text.

 

The Rundown

This game has not crashed on me once, the sound quality for ok character voices and great for the background music. After 30 minutes of playing this game battery consumption averaged out at 19% so not bad for a game that has cinematic’s often and constant interaction. I believe as a puzzle game the app has lived up to its sub category, I predict new updates for Retina display and a smoother running application. Overall my judgment is 3 out of 5!
