NFL.com Game Center app Review

NFL.com Game Centeris a Football game update app that comes with many other features that give you the essentials to know what’s going on in the football league during the season, preseason and live games. This app is very useful if you are at work or just unable to watch or listen to a desired game. Quality of photos and videos of the post-game shows and game photos are phenomenal even on the iPod touch. This apps essential feature is giving information and stats on the desired game whether live or not. The main problem of this app is the game stats and information does not update in a timely matter. Rather than waiting till the end of the quarter or for a time out, it would be nice to have updates be at least 2 plays behind. This really hurts the replay value because I could have just waited and just looked at everything online.

The Walk Around

Game scores from the current and previous weeks for the regular season will be displayed as the first page of the app, dates and status will be display above each game set. When you select a game, you have two different sets of data to view which are mainly pregame overviews. Quick take, match up, and rosters are a few of the sub-pages to look at. For live games or post games you have the options to look at stats play by play, see the big plays and much more for you to see in the photos below.

The Media center was a letdown, you can listen to big plays and you can listen to the quarterly overview. The only thing that I have seen that you can watch in this app is the post-game press conference. And what saves and polishes this section is the photos from the game which are HD quality and has a nice comment explaining each photo.

Push notifications are a plus, you can be alerted when the game starts, when there has been a big play and quarter updates, this can all be seen in the more section under settings.
