Apple iSlate?

Are Apple, Inc. about to release the highly anticipated tablet device? I just can't imagine Apple not releasing this soon, as soon as January this year. Some predictions from various sources are hinting at an 8 inch screen that will, I believe, be something like a hybrid mac osx with iPod touch interface. I don't think this will be a replacement mac but a more powerful locked down device.

With both Microsoft and HP introducing tablets this week at CES, it does appear that the Apple tablet looks more and more of a reality. I am not a total mac fanboy but I just have more confidence that the Apple branded tablet will be a better more friendly device.

A few rumors that I have heard :

• Multiple wireless carriers?
• 8-10 inch screen with high resolution (oled)?
• Incredible user interface that will not be expected?
• Front facing camera?
• Cortex A9 CPU?
• AppStore integration
• iSlate name?
• January 26th announcement?
• Cost rumored to be $700-$1000
